Sanusi’s resignation on Monday was in reaction to the installation of heads of new emirates by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
The traditional leader cited “health issues and recent changes in the Kano Emirate system” as reasons for his resignation.
He is Haruna Sanusi, the District Head of Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano, a staunch loyalist of the embattled Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
